CathAttach — A Secured Locking Mechanism, Not Just a Hold

Existing securement options — sutures and available fixation devices — hold the catheter in place but cannot prevent patients from accidentally retracting or deliberately pulling them out. CathAttach’s patented securement & stabilization mechanism changes the equation entirely.

  • Patented Securement & Stabilization Mechanism

A true secured locking design that physically prevents retraction and accidental dislodgement — superior to suture-only and conventional securement across nephrostomy, biliary, cholecystostomy, suprapubic, nephroureteral, and ascites catheter types.

  • Safety Slack Before Lock Engages

Engineered safety slack allows natural catheter motion prior to locking — preventing kinking and twisting while securing catheter integrity throughout the dwell period.

  • Hydrocolloid Base — Easy On, Easy Off

The hydrocolloid patch provides secure skin adhesion and atraumatic removal. The low-profile design (under 10mm) with soft body construction optimizes patient comfort and allows access to the wound site for cleaning and disinfecting.

  • Patient-Managed Replacement

Designed for routine replacement every 7 days by the patient at home — reducing return visits, lowering cost of care, and extending catheter dwell time without clinical intervention.

Validated at the University of Florida

CathAttach was formally evaluated in a 6-month clinical study conducted by the Interventional Radiology department at the University of Florida. The study assessed 120 CathAttach placements across 63 patients with drainage catheters including nephrostomy, biliary, cholecystostomy, suprapubic, nephroureteral, and ascites catheters.

“Our evaluation of the CathAttach catheter securement & stabilization device demonstrated better outcome when compared to current securement options, and it provided a more effective way to secure drainage catheters sizes 6 French through 12 French.”

— Sean Wiley, RRA/RPA & Benjamin Berwick, MD · Interventional Radiology, University of Florida

Of 61 patients who followed the replacement protocol, zero experienced early returns for misposition or dislodgement. Five patients reported that CathAttach also reduced catheter leaking previously experienced with suture-only securement. All 61 adherent patients rated the device as comfortable, easy to replace, and effective.

Built for Every Setting Where Drainage Catheters Are Placed

CathAttach is available directly to hospitals, IR departments, clinics, and healthcare networks throughout the United States and Canada.

Hospital IR Departments

The primary setting for CathAttach. IR departments placing nephrostomy, biliary, cholecystostomy, suprapubic, and ascites catheters benefit directly from eliminated dislodgement returns and reduced unplanned ER visits.

Outpatient & OBL Settings

Office-based labs and ambulatory surgery centers need reliable securement with simple procurement. CathAttach delivers hospital-grade performance — and patients manage routine replacement themselves at home.

Home Health & Long-Term Care

CathAttach’s 7-day replacement cycle and patient-friendly design make it ideal for home management. Patients in the UF study rated it comfortable and easy to replace independently — reducing clinical follow-up frequency and cost.
